Frequently asked questions

What base are granite setts laid on?

Setts are laid on a sand-and-crushed-stone base: it drains water well, so the paving works on driveways, paths, squares, terraces and courtyards without a continuous concrete base.

Can I order a non-standard size?

How do split setts differ from sawn setts?

Sawn setts have even edges and a calmer pattern, split setts keep a natural break and a deeper relief. Split-and-sawn combines a flat face with a rough edge, and tumbled setts have softened edges.
