More about this product
Natural stone cladding tiles serve façades, plinths, walls and floors. The face is polished, honed or flamed, so a single product reads differently depending on the finish. Polishing brings a glossy surface, honing leaves it matte and without shine, while flaming changes the character of the stone. The appearance of a tile indoors or on a façade results from the stone and the finish together, so the two are considered as one choice.
Tiles are produced from Pokostivske, Leznykivske, Didkovychi and Maslavske granite. Holovyne labradorite and Bukynske gabbro are also available, and any other stone can be ordered on request. The stone defines the colour and pattern of the material, which is why it is worth picking together with the finish. Polishing adds depth of tone, while a honed or flamed face stays quieter. The shade is confirmed with a physical sample of the current batch. Stones can be compared by colour, grain and finish in the stone types section.
These tiles are intended for façades and plinths, interiors, urban spaces and landscaping. Outside they clad walls and plinths; inside they finish surfaces where stone belongs. Format and finish follow the particular job, depending on where the tile will sit and how it will be used. The size may be standard or bespoke, and the project sets it rather than the eye. Stone, finish and packing are settled in the specification before production starts.
Map out the cladding area, the preferred tile size, the layout and the adjoining surfaces early. A dimensioned drawing or sketch goes with the specification, so the list of pieces matches the project. The specification records the purpose of the tiles, approximate dimensions, quantity and colour preferences; anything still open at this stage is clarified in the same document. If the area is not final, a plan or sketch is enough to count the pieces. The data is checked, the final specification is drawn up, and the order goes into production. Length, width and thickness are listed separately, and tolerances and weight are confirmed before work begins.
Before ordering, it helps to match the format against the weight. The weight and quantity calculator gives the mass of one piece and the count per 1 m² and per 1 tonne of the selected stone. Choosing the stone and entering the dimensions is all it takes, and the result helps to check the quantity in advance.
