Rock-face granite slabs

Rock-face slabs are split-textured cladding pieces for plinths, fences, façades and retaining walls. Their deep relief gives the cladding character and marks out individual planes. This category covers stone slabs only, not a finished wall or fence.

This category offers four granites — Pokostivske, Leznykivske, Didkovychi and Maslavske; other stone is made to order. The stone sets the cladding's tone and pattern, so shade and grain are confirmed with a physical sample, since they change from batch to batch. Each stone reads differently when split: grey tones stay calm, red and brown add warmth, olive-green gives a restrained modern note.

A rock-face or split finish preserves the stone's natural relief. Format and finish follow the task: a façade or plinth needs a strongly textured plane, landscaping needs relief that survives the weather, retaining walls need an agreed laying pattern. The two are chosen together, since the finish decides how the relief reads in place. Where a project needs something else, the category also lists flamed, honed, polished and sawn finishes.

The specification records the stone, slab length, width and thickness, the character of the relief, the layout and the packaging, all settled before production. Formats are standard or custom; tolerances and weight are confirmed in advance. Because relief differs from slab to slab, the surface is approved against a sample so the finished cladding matches expectations.

To have an order processed, send the cladding area, a dimensioned drawing or sketch, the number of separate areas and colour preferences. Mark the corners and adjoining surfaces, and the list of pieces will match the project. Each plane of the cladding is described separately.

The final look depends on the stone and the character of the surface, so both are worth settling in advance. Several areas each need their own list of pieces. Once the specification is checked, discrepancies are clarified and the final order is drawn up; production starts only after full approval.
