Granite slabs

A slab is a large-format natural stone panel, produced in standard sizes or to custom dimensions for the project. It is not a finished decorative piece but a broad, continuous stone surface made for further work — cladding and fabrication. The generous format lets the stone pattern read across the whole face, so it becomes part of the design decision.

The format shapes which stones are offered: three granites — Pokostivske, Maslavske and Leznykivske — plus Holovyne labradorite and Bukynske gabbro. Each behaves differently over a wide face: Pokostivske keeps a calm grey background, Maslavske brings an olive-green tone, Leznykivske a red-pink one, Holovyne labradorite a dark surface with blue iridescence, Bukynske gabbro almost black. Another stone can be ordered on request. Because tone and pattern vary from one batch to the next, a physical sample is approved before production.

Surface preparation comes in three options: sawn, polished or honed. Polishing deepens the tone and strengthens contrast, while honing softens gloss and keeps the surface restrained. The finish is chosen together with the stone, since the same material reads differently once the surface changes.

Granite slabs serve façades, plinths and interiors. Outdoors a calm, even pattern matters most; indoors, depth of tone and how the stone sits beside other materials do. A slab's large, unbroken surface shows the pattern across a wide area — the reason it is valued in cladding. Where a project brings together several stone formats, granite blocks and rock-face slabs are ordered alongside.

A slab remains a blank for further work, so its appearance depends on the finish as much as on the stone. The order therefore records both the format and the surface type, keeping the material true to the design intent. Standard and custom sizes are both available, so dimensions are never assumed — they go into the specification: length, width, thickness, quantity, chosen finish and any requirements for the stone's look. The same specification settles packaging, tolerances and weight, with the stone and finish confirmed before the material enters production.
