Separate materials from works
The stone specification records type, format, finish and quantity. The works plan records removal boundaries, base, drainage, barriers and restoration. They are separate documents with separate responsibilities.

Compare split setts, sawn paving and slabs. Agree kerbs with levels and drainage.

Is permission needed if stone is only delivered into a courtyard?
Not automatically, but equipment and packages must remain on lawful land.
Who obtains permission for earthworks?
The current procedure and contractor agreement decide it; the product supplier is not automatically the applicant.
When should production start?
After the specification and a realistic receiving and works schedule are approved.
