Granite steps and staircases

Treads, risers, landings and copings in natural stone form a complete set for a staircase. Every piece leaves production with an anti-slip finish for outdoor and indoor flights, so one material covers the whole run — from the visible face of a step to the landing and the coping.

The pieces are used on steps and at entrances, and indoors as well: they shape exterior and interior flights, entrance groups and landings. The Architecture and landscaping section adds landscaping, urban spaces, façades and plinths, so the format follows the setting.

Stone choice sets the character of a piece. Pokostivske stays an even grey with fine dark specks in a fine to medium grain; Leznykivske brings a red-pink colour and dark mineral grains; Didkovychi shows a warm brown-pink undertone and a clear crystalline structure; Maslavske blends olive-green with graphite in a medium-grained pattern. A different variety can be ordered separately. Shade and pattern shift between batches, so the sample from the actual batch is approved with the finish and the format.

Surfaces are brought to a polished, honed or flamed state. Polishing adds gloss, honing leaves the face matte, and thermal treatment changes the character of the stone. The setting and the task guide the choice. Anti-slip matters most outdoors, where moisture reaches the surface and safe movement becomes the main concern.

Format is set by length, width and thickness; sizes are standard or custom, so every detail is checked against the project. The specification is drawn up before work starts and fixes the stone, finish, format, tolerances and packaging. Send the dimensions of treads and risers, the number of steps and the sizes of landings and copings, plus a drawing or sketch if you have one. State as well which surfaces stay visible and where an anti-slip finish is required.

Once the data is in, the team checks the list of pieces, clarifies the dimensions and prepares the final specification. A staircase with several flights or sections of different widths is described flight by flight. Nothing moves into production until the order is confirmed in full.
